“Health has always been an incredibly important aspect of my life in maintaining a extraordinary healthy lifestyle so when I started having mental health issues and couldn’t work out why the last thing I thought it could be was because of my gut. Listening to this podcast has opened up a new realm of understanding for me, I hope it does for everyone in understanding the mind-body-GUT connection. Hearing about how the gut can affect the brain and therefore our mental health was like listening to how my life has played out in the last 12 months. In my own experience I contracted a parasite 3 years ago and it has slowly attacked my body and lastly my mind. I thought I was crazy, I tried everything, I was misdiagnosed numerous times. At my darkest point I couldn’t understand why I was feeling so low, and why there was no answer. Now I know that there is truth in it, the evidence and science needs to catch up to what we have all understood for so long about what is a healthy diet; we need change.
Because this connection to our diet to our happiness is real and we all need to start talking abut it more.”
