Self help for anti-self helpers
Nine out of 10 times I avoid anything to do with self-help. Maybe part of this has to do with the fact that I’m a social worker and the self-care narrative has been very popular in the last couple of years in my profession. but in actuality, I find it to be so nebulous, and so difficult to pin down. Furthermore, what self-help looks like in terms of one’s career is another story. Leah is and undeniably remarkable person, and her genuine enthusiasm, and interesting guests bring self-help to another level— one that benefits me. And that, I can get on board with it. Thank you Leah, for your work, it makes these days of mine improved.

But it makes me love working for LinkedIn even more. Jackie and Leah raise many good points about bringing your whole self to work. They don’t strive for perfection but rather for relatability. I’ve greatly enjoyed their perspective on a variety of topics.
