The women's march episode
I've listened to a few in the thick episodes and have enjoyed them. I mostly started listening because I LOVE LatinoUSA. This morning I listened to the women's march episode and I was so *disappointed* in the two guest journalists. Fara, the woman from the NYTimes was awful! I don't know if she is a person of color but her analysis and lack of nuance was incredibly disappointing. Every one of her arguments was essentially giving white people an out and excusing racism. The woman from the nation was passive and I disliked her use of "progressive" as an application to everyone who is on the left. I hope that you bring people on the show with who have a bit more nuance and ability to hold an analysis that challenges rather then upholds the status quo - perhaps Juan Gonzalez from democracy now, Alicia Garza, Nikil Singh...just to name a few.Read full review »
