“I have been a Christian for over 30 years, but I thank the Lord for Charles Stanley because his ministry and his gifts of speaking and interpreting the Word make his sermons effective and powerful. God I am sure reaches many kinds of people through this brother in Christ, those who are lost in addition to those who are saved, but side-tracked, the way I have been, and certainly those of us who want to continue to grow in our faith and get to know the Lord better. The sermons are captivating, told in such a way that one can hardly compare to the great gifts of other pastors. God has truly placed Charles Stanley here for this moment, for this generation of human beings to use his talents to explain and characterize the scriptures in inviting ways for any listener. He reminds me of great prophets and leaders like Samuel and Ezra, Nehemiah, Isaiah, and Paul. People are just captivated with his abilities to preach. The passion of Christ appears to live in this man and I admire his abilities to touch people's hearts and minds. I have heard many wonderful preachers and many wonderful sermons, but none compare to the artistry, dedication, love, and expression that Dr. Stanley puts into all his sermons. God has used this man to inspire me and others I know to see the Word in ways that one would not have ever thought possible. I know Dr. Stanley would humbly accept these kudos with humor and gentility and praise the eternal God for what He has done for him, so I praise God too for all God does and gives in all His majesty and I am grateful for brothers like Charles Stanley.
