I tried
I really tried. I was going to give it the whole first season, but only made it to the update episode. While I did my very best to empathize, and to consider my own responses and actions to this podcast. However, when the host began to invalidate most criticism by stating that it’s simply her opinion/her guests opinion/just how the show is, I couldn’t do it. It wasn’t the subject matter, or the rampant ableism, or the lack of direction, or the lack of interesting and hard hitting questions that drove me away, it was the hosts lack of own self reflection and introspection that got me. I just listened to the most recent episode. She spent the entire episode talking. Sounding not so smart. Such a good concept. Poor execution.
