It's cool
This podcast has been my first real exposure to performance poetry, and so far it has been a deeply rewarding one. I love the program's dedication to creativity: there doesn't seem to be any particular mold to which performers must conform in order to receive airtime. I think that is the program's greatest virtue. I have one criticism and one request. Request first: As a student scientist, I would like to hear some positive poems that are science related - even loosely so. I've listened to the show for a few months and only recall one poem about science in which the poet bashed scientists for being cold and unconcerned with beauty/"books". The only criticism I can come up with is that the poems have a statistical leaning towards very liberal political/social messages. This probably only reflects the base of the art form, but I think that the program should remain as politically neutral as possible. Great job - and down with the French poetry podcast!!!Read full review »
