The messages are great. The content is so important. But the narration is horrible.

The podcast has good topics. However I feel like the host is drunk every episode. He is sluggish and slurring his words.

Good source of inspiration.

Horrible to listen to. Automated, robotic, presented in an un-inspirational matter. Not to recommend. Unsubscribed.

I have been listening for three years & loved this podcast. Then suddenly it changed — The lea became loud commercials & The wonderful narrator became computerized? What happened?!
Shel Lynn via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/04/21
Disappointed as the content seems great, but the voice sounds computer-generated and monotone. I really tried to listen but couldn’t get past the robotic voice as it was so distracting and the audio just detracts from its message.

The contents of this podcast is so appealing to me but I cannot listen to the narrator. His inflections sounds like a computer program.

Fantastically research quotes of how to love a better life and flourish. Filled with wisdom, beautiful sayings, fascinating philosophy. This podcast always pulls me out of a negative funk and I am so grateful to have it, Thankyou so much!

I have been listening to this podcast for a couple of years now, and I can’t say enough great things about it. The literature choices are amazing and the narrator, is very talented.

I don’t think the current ratings do this podcast any justice. I don’t miss an episode and am frequently returning to previous episodes to start replaying hours of old wisdom. The tone is simple and doesn’t stray from what one comes here looking for. Motivation, wisdom, different perspective. I...Read full review »

I like to listen to podcasts while walking and I found you by chance, what can I say I immediately felt at peace in knowing these were advices from a century ago that still pertain to today's life. Values, morality, desire to do better and being good human beings would never go out of...Read full review »

I absolutely love this Podcast. If you can get past the mundane delivery, you’ll likely find the content beyond inspirational, it’s spiritually lifting. In fact, because the voice is not gimmicky and not trying to entertain, it inspired in me a deeper level of introspection than many messages...Read full review »

This really could be a great podcast, but the readers voice sounds robotic and has no prosodic features of language making it extremely difficult to listen to. Just can’t do it. Disappointed because the topics are fantastic!
Nudgypoo via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/16/20
This sounds like a great podcast with great things to offer and potential, and I’d like to get on board; however I can’t listen to something that I only hear talking from in my right ear, and music in my left. It’s actually kind of distracting.

I listen to this podcast during everyday chores to get some inspiration and enlightenment. The narrator is very calm and soothing. Would recommend this podcast!

Thank you thank you thank you! I start each morning with your soothing voice and have purchased many of the books from the authors you read from.

Absolutely LOVE the wisdom shared in this podcast. I’ve read some complaints about the monotonous way it’s spoken. In my opinion, it could use a little more expression but I would not suggest for it to change to so many of the high energy, upbeat speakers out there today. I can absorb wisdom much...Read full review »

The sound needs to change. Topic ideas are good but couldn’t even listen to 30 seconds of a podcast because the sound is so dry. Other more up beat podcasts out there.

I really wanted to like this podcast. The topics are great and from what I can tell the content appears to be good. The huge, huge issue is...as others have said...if this is to really be inspirational it needs to have another narrator. The current narrator's voice is the antithesis of...Read full review »

A really good podcast pays attention to EVERY component of it's production. This one falls mightily short in sound, voice output, which is the top two components in my opinion, since this is only audio. The voice is robotic, slurred, and speed is reduced by at least -1.25, you know, the 🐢...Read full review »

I didn't subscribe because this voice is awful. These aren't long podcasts - why can't you just use your human voice to deliver your message? Sad, because the messages are awesome :(Read full review »

I took notes in my notes app while listening, I loved it now I can refer without going back. I request using 1.5 speed because you may like me get a little distracted or bored but at the faster speed it worked can’t wait to listen to more. 👍🏻

His voice is just painful, at any speed..content is ok but can’t get past the mundaneness & monotone ..ugh

... the voice (to me) is terrible and unbearable and I can’t deal. It sounds as if a computer is reading to me. Not a fan.
puglove2007 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/17/19
The voice to me sounds like Microsoft’s Sam Reading it to me. Not relaxing, to me at all

Hard to listen to monotone microsoft Sam as your computers default vooooooiiiiiceeeeee
7275_halilili via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 05/06/19
I solved the problem with the difficulty I had listening to the speech by turning up the speed to 1.5 times normal speed. It allowed me to hear the message without becoming distracted by the odd speed and diction used. Now I can concentrate on the message.
foodnut28 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/29/19
Excellent and thought provoking. However, the way the material is read and how the words are pronounced in the most recent podcasts is very odd and hard to listen to. Sounds more like a robot than a human at times. I hope this changes because I enjoy the content!

The voice is also mechanical, maybe on purpose, but the message is great

Very informative, inspiring podcast. Could change the voice though maybe to one about more vibrant and not so one toned.
jpc-1888 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/14/18
I love your messages, when I can understand what you’re saying. Please balance your equalization, the bass levels are too high on your voice and sometimes I can’t even make out the words. Thank you for your inspiration anyway, though.

Couldn’t make myself listen to more then 4 minutes of the podcast due to the choice of voice being so mind-numbing you forget to listen! Shame
