Description
We get to hear from Kendall Johnson! Kendall is currently a professional soccer player for the Portland Thorns and is also the creator of Arrow Living which is a blog and podcast for female athletes. Kendall is the first athlete we’ve had on the podcast that is currently competing so it will be fun to get her perspective. Kendall attended Lincoln High School in Portland which just so happens to be across the street from her current arena of competition, Providence Park. Kendall had great success at the high school level being named ESPN first team All-American and Gatorade state player of the year. For her efforts she was granted an opportunity to compete for the University of Portland which is renowned as one of the perennial soccer powers. She was also selected to compete for the U.S. U-20 team. In 2013 she was drafted by the Sky Blue FC of the National Women’s Soccer League. She went on to compete for the Western Sydney Wanderers and now for the Portland Thorns. The Thorns have become a must see event averaging over 10,000 fans and have seen upwards of 18,000 fans file into Providence Park. Pretty amazing how well supported the women’s soccer club is! Kendall will discuss how she has remained so focused and driven toward her goals, how a concussion changed her outlook and life, and much more!
