“Speaks slowly and clearly enough but also at a conversational speed that it doesn't seem forced or or like he's speaking to idiots. As he says in the introduction, speaking about interesting topics will keep us all learning. This really does fill the gap between the beginner stage of vocab/verb drills and the other end of the spectrum of being able to handle native speakers in their natural setting. I felt a great sense of accomplishment that I understood just about everything he said. Of course, there is no way I could have spoken so fluently, but to be able to compehend fairly fluently gave me a great boost. Maybe my work over the past couple of years is paying off.
