Whatever your story, you'll enjoy The Interplanetary Podcast
short story: Subscribe to this podcast immediately; you will love it. (my) long story: So I've been working on a three-volume series of mix tapes (yes, tapes) for the love of my life who unfortunately lives quite far away at the moment (not space, but pretty far). The overarching thematic element of these mixes involves the wonders of space, because we both wish we were astronauts, and because what's cooler than space exploration? So--I started listening to every space-related podcast I could find to pick up little snippets to use as interludes: deep-thoughts on mankind's role in the universe, first-hand audio clips of astronauts and scientists, etc. Outside of an audio sample of Sputnik's radio signal from last week's podcast, Matt and Jamie have given me nothing to use in my mixes (after all I can't have their easy-going charm put on my love mix tapes). -but- After listening to just about every space exploration / astrophysics podcast out there, I can tell you that The Interplanetary Podcast is the very best. My favorite morning of the week is the one that I get to hop on the train in my "whistle" (my dad's from East London), commute to work, and listen to this podcast. If you're even reading this review, then I'm 100% sure you will thoroughly enjoy listening to these two charming goofballs as they look back on some of mankind's most amazing achievements, honor some remarkable astronauts, and chat generally about space-related goings on. It's the only one of these podcasts I'll continue listening to regularly after the mix tapes are done, and in fact, it's the only podcast I "subscribe" to. You should too.Read full review »

As an American, I get such a kick out of listening to these Brits talk (very fluently!) about the American space program, as well as highlighting other international space goings-on. The interviews with David Baker are incredible, he's an encyclopedia. Long episodes but worth your time!Read full review »
