Disappointed for the first time
This is the first time I have been frustrated and disappointed while listening to this podcast. And to be clear, I’m a black woman. The incident and how it's handled will tell me a lot about how we operate as a collective in the future. If Will Smith had shouted from his seat, “Keep my wife’s name out your mouth!” I’d be applauding him today. But he did NOT. And to this day has NOT been held accountable for committing a PHYSICAL ASSAULT over WORDS. If we are condoning violence over words: 1. RIP comedy, because no comedian should feel safe after this. Someone doesn't like a joke? just go up on stage and slap someone, because after all Will Smith got away with it. 2. It's gonna set a precedent for how ppl engage with one another. Get offended by someone's WORDS? Smack them, punch them, stab, shoot. Like where do we draw the line? Energy should match energy. Words that offend someone should translate to using words to talk about how one was offended. Chris Rock was the victim of VIOLENCE & this episode never ONCE talked about that truth and condemn Smith’s actions. SMHRead full review »

Tremaine Lee speaks with compassion and authority. He’s ideal for podcast narration. He always covers salient issues on NBC & MSNBC. This is my favorite political podcast.

Such a fantastic first two episodes. Definitely working this podcast into my weekly listening routine. Unbiased yet thought provoking which is a tough line to balance.
