“I cried this morning. I never met Dr. John Louis Flateau, but grief swam over me as though I lost my uncle. The nation did us a disservice when they buried this critical part of history.
I just learned of this family; a family whose story should be part of the nation's story. Dear White Friends, it is long past time for us to be real friends.
