I've casually listened to these lectures very very randomly for several years now. I often quite enjoy them. I think Jeremy Wolfe's lecture style manages to present very well through audio and I'm very thankful to MIT & Prof. Wolfe for posting this content! :)

I’ve grown a new interest recently, in psychology actually. and throughout this amazing course I found out that I wasn’t wrong. I, as a genius!, usually prefer more challenging subjects and now, thanks to brilliant proffesor Wolfe, I know that psychology is a science in its youth and there’s too...Read full review »

I love prof wolfe's introduction as much as if not more than prof bloom's. Please fix lectures 9 and 10 please. It's a shame :(

Anything I say will do no justice to this course. You have to listen for yourself. This guy is a joy to listen; he makes everything so understandable and interesting. He is also very funny (he could have been a great actor since he has such incredible speech abilities). He is now working at...Read full review »

I hear great things and I can’t wait to make use of this, but it’s missing a lecture...

But, what's wrong with lecture 9, and where is lecture 10?

Jeremy Wolfe is as a brilliant of a comedian as he is a lecturer. With an often hilarious joke, Wolfe guarantees that the already fascinating knowledge is packed for safe keeping and fast retrieval in the confines of ones memory. It pains me that MIT seems to have taken the course down from its...Read full review »

Addicting.

Fast forward thru the logistics parts, and learn to ignore the less-than-stellar audio, and this class is a great survey/intro to psychology. I loved the class when I took it from this professor as an undergrad, and appreciate it even more now with 20 more years of life experience. Prof. Wolfe...Read full review »

Ok
The topic would be interesting, but the instructor stumbles around and the beginning of the lectures is about 20 minutes of him passing out papers.

The best course ever . Everyone should listen to it . Professor Jeremy Wolfe is incredible .

A fantastic course that's easy to understand and great fun to listen to. To be honest I didn't notice that the sound quality was bad until I read the reviews and even now I still wouldn't call it bad, it may not be the best but I feel it does now hinder these superb lectures at all.

The poor audio quality seriously distracts from the content of the lecture.

Professor Jeremy Wolfe's lessons are passionate and interesting. Even though I'm just an education student interested in general psychology, I find it easy to follow.

I loved this class and am now a total Jeremy Wolfe groupie! He makes a very complicated subject interesting and engaging. It is well worth your time.

Speaker is very dynamic and interesting , inspiring, looking into different aspects of psychology and metal diseases, serve as a very food introduction but yet with sufficient information for you to explore. Thank you very much, I have learned a lot!!

This series was absolutly extraordinary. It was very comical and very easy to listen too. The examples by far are the highlight of this series, they helped explain psych fairly thorough.

Lectures 9 and 10 will not download, is anyone else having this problem???
Nessa7887 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/21/12
I downloaded this out of curiosity, and it turned out to be not only a fascinating subject, but by a great professor. Not only is he knowledgeable, he's funny and captures your attention. I wish there were more !

I listen to many lectures twice!

This is certainly a 5 star course, but I think it is a bit advanced compared to some other intro to psych courses. Before listening to this one, you should first listen to ... "Great Ideas in Psychology - by Todd Daniel", which is flawlessly done, super easy and very narrative.

This is a fantastic course! Helped me a lot during my psych classes. However, the quality of the recording is very bad... That prevents the listener from being completely satisfied :) Also, the lecture where prof. Wolfe demonstrates examples of different optical illusions is hard to comprehend in...Read full review »

Very good and clear introduction to psychology. The speaker is amazingly interesting and has a great sense of humour. It really makes for compelling listening as you find yourself wanting to know more and reading about the topics covered. Truly excellent!

This is a very interesting and engaging course about the basics of the psychology. Obviously, prof. Wolfe has a carisma that makes the whole class very enjoyable and entertaining, even if some people may say that the psych science is too dry. Pros: .The teacher explains the subject clearly, and is hilarious. I laughed out loud on multiple occasions. Cons: .The recording could have been better, and some material is weakened due to the lack of Mr. Wolfe's visual aids. .Lecture 10 is missing

My love story with psychology started from this podcast. I laughed like a drain and I learned more than I have learned from many a college course, and I am including real sitting down ones.
