While not as good as stuff to blow your mind, this was a great podcast and really interesting. Sad it’s ended. I hope this means that stuff to blow your mind can keep going forever though.

This show needs to be stand alone. I love the information and the details included in the podcast. However, I’m afraid that in the main channel STBYM (were this show got moved to) is going to push more of the left leaning world views onto the show. That’s my only gripe, I can’t seem to find many...Read full review »

This show provides loads of interesting information about the history of so many of the things we use each day. The style is laid back and fun with many welcome tangents providing much more infotainment than one might expect from a given episode’s title. It’s a pleasure to listen to. I’m...Read full review »

Science is at the forefront of news these days. It is a pleasure to hear a scientificly based podcast, which offers fun while informing.

Thanks for the podcast. I really like the historical overview of all kind of inventions. -1 Star for the recycling of old episodes as „Invention Classic“. I understand that it is really difficult to release an episode every week but I would prefer to break the schedule instead of re-releasing...Read full review »

So so sad to see this show go. As is natural for many people, I’ve always been curious about how various things came to be, or how they work. This show has indulged my curiosity and aligned well with my scientific interests. Look forward to continuing to hear about more inventions on “Stuff to...Read full review »

Robert and Joe are the best. Topics are always really thoroughly researched with tons of interesting info provided throughout.
jcwat07 via Apple Podcasts · Ireland · 03/03/20
But they just take the joy out of every topic. I’ve struggled through many episodes. I wish they would just give up and let another team fill this niche. I heart, this is such a great concept—just do it better.

These guys are my best friends. They don’t know it, but that’s ok.

Really wanted to like this- they just banter back and forth about nonsense for the first fifteen minutes it’s nonsense.

First. Pretty good info. I’m a SYSK guy and never listened to Stuff to Blow Your Mindbut this does share the characteristic of being informative. Beyond that the hosts are quite different than Josh and Chuck. Imma be straight up with these dudes. I have had a lot of shifting views on this pod....Read full review »

A standard for other podcasts - great topics, interesting reasearch, excellent delivery! Even the theme tune and sound quality are awesome! (bad sound quality can make even the best podcast unlistenable, but it’s on pro level here) Every new episode is a freaking revelation)) Love it!

I have literally heard it over 100 times. Please please go Toyota instead next time. The 4Runner is a true off road vehicle

Interesting and entertaining. It sounds like they do their homework, and it’s nice to turn on a podcast that isn’t constantly full of f-bombs(sorry to other shows to are wayyy too limited with inside jokes and a swear fest). A really good getaway from the average.

These guys are super entertaining and educational. As an engineer I am very interested in how things work and were created. Joe and Robert do a great job keeping tough subjects light and fun. Would recommend (and have recommended) 10/10 I have listened to every episode of invention and stuff to...Read full review »

Dog episode: once they started talking about grilling and that they don’t eat steak they lost me. Grow a pair you, effeminate boys.

Just as good as their last podcast, Invention has the same wonderful chemistry and insight formed over the years between Robert and Joe that it is a blast to listen to.

I’m very happy with this podcast! I find this gives me the intense dose of history and information that I crave and the hosts are likeable. I used to listen to Stuff to Blow Your Mind more frequently, but I found the hosts would go off topic quite a bit (usually about early Sci-fi movies). Now I...Read full review »

I love this show because the hosts have clearly done their research and present the material in a professional manner, but have just the right amount of fun and small jokes to make it an easier listen. My new favourite podcast. Although it is too bad Joe is an Edison apologist.

I loooove this new podcast and stuff to blow your mind. I learn so much about ordinary things that are actually really fascinating if you look at their history. I listen to this podcast every night! The hosts describe some of the history behind some everyday things people may take for granted. I appreciate that they go off on tangents, as many of these discussions go down rabbit holes that inevitably bring up other topics for discussion. These extended conversations add to the flavor of the...Read full review »

Like their first podcast, this is waaayyy too chatty. It takes forever to get to any point they’re trying to make. It could be done in 1/2 the time without losing any of the meaningful content. I really tried, but I’m out. Hasn’t anyone brought this point up before????
