When this podcast came out, I loved it. Raved about it! Told so many people to listen. Then came the episode about seeing family at Christmas. They interviewed scientists and relationship experts who gave some very sound and much needed advice about how to deal with difficult family...Read full review »

Amazing stories and wave in so nicely

The camp in this episode reminds me of hitler youth. It is unimaginable breeding ground for hatred and hearing the host buy into the whole thing without question is especially depressing.

I have listened to this show since the beginning. Huge fan. Very well done and thought provoking. This season Alix bravely places her fears and pain and fumblings out there for all to see. Her vulnerability is refreshing and commendable. It really makes you stop and think and examine your own...Read full review »

It’s a good podcast if you are into bashing white people.

I highly recommend this podcast. Let me start with the negative: Once in a while, certain comments seem to not be thought through super thoroughly, especially for a podcast concerned with science-tangential topics like this one. A couple of comments from seasons two and three were inaccurate,...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this podcast for years now and I can’t believe I haven’t left a review yet. Each episode is incredibly thoughtful and provocative in the best way. It feels to me like they’re finding the magic in the ordinary.

A podcast that makes thoughtful and interesting shows aimed at unpacking our judgements, beliefs, and ideas. An important listen.

I binged the podcast from start to almost end (at this point I only have part of season six left). There was a serious and immediate decline in quality as soon as Lulu left the show. Alix is insufferable. About 70% of the time, she makes pointless statements that she clearly thinks are deeply...Read full review »

I love this podcast. They pick great topics and go deep as only they can. I only have one complaint and that is I want more episodes

I love all the shows and all the women involved in this pod. And the men too.

I love the show but was really disappointed in the Confrontation episode. I don’t see how yelling hateful things at a couple of white teenagers solves anything with the issue of race. If racism in America is gonna be remedied it’s going to have to be a two sided conversation. And that two sided...Read full review »

Just finished your episode in perspective and it occured to me how you guys managed to change my perspective. As a dutchman the USA ever after the election of Trump appears to be a freak show full of racists, bigots and blatantly lying politicians. Thought provoking in all the right ways including sometimes difficult ways, this podcast will challenge your assumptions. It explores important issues that each one of us do or could grapple with in our lives. It is utterly human - which we all need right now.

Definitely one of my top 5 favorite podcasts. As a science teacher with a background in psychology I find this show extremely effective in the mixing of feelings and data. I have really enjoyed listening to this podcast for the content and range topics covered. Awesome podcast. Great subjects, voices, soundtracks and sfx. Would have given it 5 stars but those annoying commercial interruptions are really bad (for me). I get that there needs to be sponsorship, but especially these briljant minds could come up with a better way.

I have listened to every episode... I AM a fan. But they are progressive to a fault. It pains me to even write a review but I’m not going to avoid it. The theme that ties the show together is broad: “The invisible forces that shape human behavior.” This leaves the episodes open to cover SO many different topics.
