“I feel like in order to help you understand my review, I have to talk about season 1 first. Season 1 took my breath away at times. There was not a single episode that seemed just ok, or, too time consuming, or, off the mark. Season 1 made me think. A lot. I mean, a lot.
However, that magic seems to slowly empty over these next seasons. Episodes that are, at times, just ok and leaving me feeling like I invested time I didn’t have, or worse, did not make me think.
The dreaded second album disease.
But This last episode The Profile? Wow. It went nowhere for me. When I’m asked as a listener if I’m feeling what she felt when she and her boyfriend were catfished ... no. I don’t feel anything except that I have wasted a mad amount of time on an episode that I felt was really reaching for something meaningful only to just ... end. Not thought provoked, just a bit annoyed for what Kyle might have to go through with his business.
It was such a bad episode I had to write this review.
I’m not giving up on this show but I am hoping that maybe you will return to season 1 and give it a listen.
I’m all for growing and changing and challenging yourselves but then, it has to be better as well. I mean I don’t see the point otherwise.
Fingers crossed .”
