So glad you are doing this!!!
I, like so many people, feel such a special connection to FNL - which has never made any sense to me since I know nothing about football, nor west Texas, but fell in love with the show nevertheless. I first became aware of the series doing my very first job in casting. I got a temp position at NBC-Universal casting dept during one pilot season. FNL had already been on the air a couple of years but it was totally not on my radar at all. I noticed that all the other assistants on my floor were glued to their computers watching the rough cut dvds of the episodes when they were made available to us prior to airing . So I started watching too at my desk. Of course I was at least 2 seasons behind, so I did not know AT ALL what was going on. But it didn’t matter, I was hooked. I went back and watched the first seasons and cried my eyes out. Then I got my sister hooked, and she still blames me, since we have remained totally obsessed with the show, even now so many years later after it ended. Mae is the perfect person to join Scott and Zach, I love all the pilot audition stories, and all the behind the scenes stuff, you def get what we as long haul fans want to hear about. (Fyi, I went to work for Linda Lowy as a casting assistant a couple years later and really the biggest reason why I wanted the job was the fact that she cast FNL and I knew she would have tons of stories about it. It was so cool.) Now as a casting director myself, I am always looking for opportunities to hire former FNL actors. I’ll get ya’ll someday! Xxxooo

a few comments mentioning how Mae hasn’t seen all the episodes but I believe I’ve heard her say in interviews prior she has watched all episode up to the series finale but hasn’t wanted to watch that particular episode because it would mean it’s truly over.

When I found out this podcast existed, I shrieked in the middle of the staff lunchroom and immediately sent it to my dad. He introduced me to FNL and we are two super fans of the show, all the way from Ontario, Canada - the show has made for incredible bonding time for us, and we still quote it...Read full review »

I love listening to how shows come together and Scott & Zach’s stories of auditions were great. As a fan of Scott Porter, he is why I started watching but quickly loved FNL! Can’t wait to listen to future episodes!!
