Not their finest effort
This has been my favorite Tour de France podcast for going on eight years now. I think it’s a testament to how boring this year’s race was that the podcast was far more about French history, linguist sticks, and nattering about teasing each other than about cycling. As much as I enjoy listening to these blokes, I would have appreciated shorter episodes rather than all of that.

Once you get past the sometimes overlapping chat of the presenters there’s a fun, light feel to the Podcast. David Millar joining in has instantly changed the dynamic with pro insight and comment - class. Any chance of persuading Gary Imlach to join in as well?

I kept listening to this last year as it was saved from disaster by genuine insight from Chris Boardman and David Miller but Matt Rendell is a bumbling nightmare who says nothing coherent and has a tendency to talk over everyone else. The gloriously improvised, and often shambolic, review belies the hard work and perceptive insights produced by the team. Their sense of enjoyment and fun is palpable. Love it.
