It should be better
A podcast breaking down each movie is great in theory, but this podcast has a long way to go to reach its potential. Right now, most of the episodes are fine for background noise, but it just doesn't merit my full attention. But most disappointing of all is the "Goldfinger" episode. Many of us love that movie and this episode should be a highlight of this series, but unfortunately it's awful. They bring on a pair of neo-feminists who have never seen a Bond movie and they proceed to pick it apart (or just talk about mixing drinks and other tangents). The idea of feminists discussing Bond has its place. However, a podcast by Bond fans for Bond fans (who else would listen to this?) is decidedly not that place. If they brought these two ladies on board for a special podcast that wasn't tied to one of the Bond movies - or even a short segment every once in a while within other podcasts - it might be OK. Even worse, Matt and Matt join them in mocking the movie. Imagine if you were in high school and you loved Star Wars, but you took a hot girl to see it and she hated it. So she proceeds to bash it and you just agree with her. That's basically what happens here. The guys who allegedly love Bond trash one of (if not THE) most iconic Bond movies. I'm giving this series one or more listens but it's on a really short leash. If you can't find a proper guest, then don't have one. It's that simple.Read full review »

Love this show. So interesting and informative. Matt and Matt have a great love and respect for Bond and it shows. Very funny and great guests. I'm just not sure what I'm going to do when they run out of movies.Read full review »

This podcast has reconnected me with an oeuvre that I had forgotten I really dug. Each time I see a Bond, I enjoy (or despise, which is great too!) something else I hadn't seen before. The Matts are a great couple. I hope you guys find a way to keep this going; the music episode idea sounds like...Read full review »
