“At first I was very concerned about what my church leaders were saying about Joel. I used to attend a fairly large SBC in North MS. I loved his first book and gave it to several friends and family members. It wasn't until I really needed to hear something from God other than condemnation that I began to listen to Joel on a regular basis. Being a student of the scriptures and loving God with all my heart, He led me to Joel's weekly sermans. I am now reading his second book. I can truly say at this point, I am knowing Christ better than I have my entire Christian life, 18 yrs. I do feel better about myself so much that God is beginning to use me more than ever to bring people to HIM. I'm not oppressed and feeling God cannot use me because of my past. I've raised my head(because God is the lifter of my head) and have accepted Him as a positive loving just God. Folks, He loves us. That's what I hear from Joel. God loves me, no matter how many mistakes I've made. Be a people of love my friends, because God is love. I know that some of my friends will go to hell. They have told me I cannot bring them to Christ with scare tactics, but I can tell them He is the alternative and He will save them.
