Required Listening to Creating the New Jewish World
Holy smokes, am I happy I found this podcast. Wow. It's incredibly engaging and if you care about what Judaism will look like in the future, you'll find yourself listening deeply. What I love is that Dan and Lex, without maybe knowing it are tying a tapestry together of a great Jewish scenius coming to fore. The people they interivew on their show, at least from my early listening are all painting a new picture of Judaism. Together, listening to this show as one "text" in-and-of-itself portrays a new portrait of Judaism, one that's on the edge of change and showcases how more institutions, whether 100 years old or not founded yet can creates new kinds of roots. I'm happy Dan and Lex took a leap and created this show. It's a place I feel like I've found a community of similar thinkers in :)Read full review »

Thanks for doing this. With so many different topics covered, this is such an amazing resource. I’ve learned so much from y’all, and this got me listening to other Jewish podcasts as well. Thank you!

These podcasts are compelling and share innovative ideas. Crash theory and Maslow! Yes to the idea that Judaism will be unrecognizable to me in 100 years is right on! The roots of much of this discussion, imho, arise from the thought of Reb Zalman z"l. Keep up the great work!Read full review »

I have been listening to JU form the beginning. What these guys are doing - the people they are interviewing, the quetsions that are asking, the connections they are making - will lead us from our time of wandering into the next era of Judaism.
