Initially liked, but very turned off now.
This podcast was interesting at first because it had a good in depth look at this case, which is about a really interesting character. Now, however, after Durst’s testimony started to be covered, is quite distasteful and really putting me off. The hosts recapping testimony and commentary about it is gleeful, recounting “gotcha” moments from a repellant and rude prosecutor is very uncool. Referring to testimony as “exhilarating” is off putting and taking a lot of pleasure in bringing this guy down is not only too partial for my liking, it’s become the whole podcast. If I were a juror listening to this prosecutor I would be annoyed at his failure to link Durst to this murder with hard evidence beyond days of bugging him about being a liar. Let me know when this podcast goes back to being impartial and drops the tabloidesque delight in this guy’s downfall instead of the entire tragic story that it is. The second and third murders wouldn’t have happened if cops and prosecutors had done the proper job in the 80s.
