“Thank you to Joseph Fink for tweeting about this show!! I’d read (what I thought was) a pretty sizable amount of King books before starting the podcast, but today I just downloaded all 1200 pages of IT and I’m going to race to read it all in time for the next episode.
The literary analysis is unmatched, intersectional, and makes me think critically about lots of other media I consume. Gives me back the joy of talking about books in college classes without the price tag. It’s deeply sourced with interviews from King and information and backstory that colors each book.
I specifically recommend the Shining episode to people, so excellent and they were able to verbalize so many of the thoughts and feelings I was having about it way better than I ever could have. And they uncovered trains of thought that blew my mind and I’m still thinking about.”
