That's why Americans should require a background and substance review of anyone who purports to run for office, and would be Constitutionally mandated to do so.
Far too many underestimate the thorough job Madison, Jefferson, and the other founders did in debating, constructing, and writing the Constitution. They were intimately familiar with British power, and its weaknesses when tested. They agonized over the wording which Americans have yet to stop and appreciate in operation.
Too many manipulative lawyers would love to alter it, and do not consider it sacred. It isn't just words!
