Not really ‘cozy’ when half the episode is ads
I was really excited about this podcast when I first heard a commercial for it. I even stopped the podcast I was listening to just to start listening to an episode. I loved the topics and I adored the idea of listening to a podcast in which the goal was to feel like you were just having a drink or coffee with a friend. It was advertised as just a cozy podcast. Having sensory issues I really gravitated to this idea. I thought I had found my new go to podcast. Instead I couldn’t even get through half the podcast because it starts with ads (which I understand) but then in the middle of her answering a viewer question, without warning just cuts to like 2min of ads. A few minutes later it cuts to more ads. The episode was only 25min, I got about 12 in before I stopped listening and there was already 3different ad breaks. The hosts voice is very nice & calm but she is soft spoken which causes me to turn the volume up, only to have ads start blaring because they are much louder and over the top than the podcast host. Again as someone who has sensory issues I loved the idea of a cozy, calm podcast…but maybe a slight segue to give us a warning the ads are coming would be nice. Maybe I’ll come back to this podcast someday, for now I’m just really bummed about it’s format.

Her message is one in a million, and I’m so lucky to have found her channel and now, her podcast. So thank you, Kalyn, for being a positive voice in a world that can be so mean and...Read full review »
