Andrew Keen is a gifted interviewer--questions that cut to the core of a debate, and forces his guests to say more about why this or that essential point matters to concerns today. He moves the conversation forward in a brisk way, and regularly makes connections to other ideas (new books, social...Read full review »

One of the very best podcasts. Andrew has a wide range of insights, guests and topics, and an excellent (slightly combative and sceptical) interviewing style. A great show, informative and entertaining.

I tried this podcast for a couple of months because the subjects and guests are promising. The host however is the loud entitled guy at a dinner party you wish would just be quiet long enough that a good conversation might occur.

I was trying to listen to the episode “A Scientific Theory of Complexity: Neil Theise on Connection, Consciousness and Being”, but couldn’t go trough because the interviewer interrupted the author the entire time. He couldn’t conclude his ideas. It seems that the podcast’s host was impatient and...Read full review »

Enlightening and wonderfully engaging! Very impressed with this podcast. Andrew is skillful and insightful in his questions and back-and-forth dialogue with guests that draws out even more interesting comments from guests.

A good host lets his guests finish answering questions. This is podcasting 101, Andrew. But, W. David Marx was a fascinating guest (despite the distracting host).

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Andrew and must say it’s quite an unusual way of being asked and entering in a conversation. Andrew is extremely well prepared and I enjoyed my interview. Challenging, but challenging is the key to a deeper understanding and this is what this show is...Read full review »

Interrupts, over-generalizes, not as prepared as he should be, not as intelligent as he seems to think. Shame, because the guests are well-chosen.

Failed to enjoy this show as much as I could have because of the hosts continual and abrasive interruptions. The host seems far more interested in displaying his own knowledge and intellect than bringing out the expertise of his guest - if he wants a soap box he’d do better to broadcast his own...Read full review »

Listening to a four hour podcast conversation is fine… if you’re immortal. For the rest of us, a brief to the point conversation, is best. Perhaps Mr Keen can get himself a decent microphone?

I’m a new listened to the show and was intrigued by the content. However, the degree to which the host interrupts and talks over the guest is distracting and off putting. I would encourage the host to allow his guests to speak as they are incredibly interesting!

Joe Keohane was a terrific guest but the repeated interruptions to detail previous guests detracted greatly. Also, is it possible to adjust the sound so that each speaker is at the same volume?

Listened to the episode about “Pastel and Pedophiles”; a book discussing Qanon & it’s place in today’s society and I could barely make it through. This is a great show. I listen to a lot of this sort of thing. Wasn’t familiar with Keen, and wondered for maybe all of minute if I could get past his seeming aloofness, but he quickly put that to rest with his dry, wry wit, vast scope of knowledge, and consistently top shelf interviewees. I often listen to these podcasts with enjoyment and frustration. I occasionally ask myself, What have I learned? The answer is usually, Not very much. Why? Andy’s style is an obstacle impeding the guest. He must interrupt. He must show us how much he has read or who he has met. And his...Read full review »

Smart guests, thoughtful questions. This podcast has helped me think about the future, in spite of my despair about the present.

The fact that this guy is able to host a "crisis" show without wanting to come to terms with a single problem inherent in liberal institutions is beyond a joke. He is also one of the smuggest and most rude interviewers I have ever heard, while giving forelock tugging deference to any soft...Read full review »

It is always a treat to listen to an interview done by Andrew Keen. He knows how to ask the right questions and keep the conversation going. While he is informed well about the topic he is talking about, the interview is always giving you new insights. You should give it a try!
