In this pop-up episode, we are joined by various guests from Keene State College to discuss the role of the arts in social and racial justice issues. Guests include KSC faculty Kirstin Riegler, Patricia Pedroza Gonzalez, KSC student Marnie Anair, and KSC Alumnus Alexander Davis. 

The episode winds down the fall season at the Redfern, offering a brief recap of some highlights from this fall and a look forward to 2021. Guests include Dr. John Hart, assistant professor of music at Keene State College and conductor of TubaChristmas; and Associate Professor in the Theatre and Dance program, Kirstin Riegler.

Episode 3 explores the creative development of the Theatre and Dance department’s production of Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days. The performance explores resilience amid impossible situations- something we can all relate to now.

Episode 2 of Inside the Redfern brings us outdoors for a rehearsal journey with the KSC Concert Choir to the gazebo in Central Square, Keene; a conversation with Jessica Gelter, Executive Director of Arts Alive; and a visit with the NOVA Arts Block Initiative, a new performance venue and creative space on 48 Emerald Street to explore how the arts are anchoring the health and wellbeing of communities in the Monadnock region.

Inside the Redfern is a show about how artists, faculty, students, and creative practitioners are making work, responding, and adapting to these challenging times. Episode One leads listeners into a rehearsal for the KSC Theatre and Dance production of Brangelina, an original dance film.
