Gave a great insight into the on-ground situation of an anti-poaching unit. The production skills created a background atmosphere that made you feel as if oyu were there, walking. around in the bush!

Absolutely amazing

Poorly researched with two presenters that have no clue about the subject they are pontificating about. Not what I would have expected from the BBC

What an unbelievable listen. Enlightening, inspiring, frightening and unnerving all at the same time.

This has been the most moving podcast that I have ever subscribed too. The message that it gives about the plight of not only the Rino but also mainly the big five is truly inhumane. Why oh why have the BBC made this into a major 10 part documentary? They can really get the message out there...Read full review »

Have just finished this podcast and have never bothered to leave a review previously after finishing a series. However, this has made an impression on me due to the dedication and compassion shown by those involved. We must do more to raise awareness and protect this amazing creature.

I’d heard a trailer before I started listening to the full podcast so I thought I knew what to expect.....I was wrong. I’ve never listened to anything before that has filled me with such a mixture of emotions, I have been completely captivated, shocked, saddened and bought to tears a few times...Read full review »

I think they did a great job here of highlighting the issues and trying to look at the various perspectives. KP seems like a good guy, but I find it interesting that he and others are so passionate about one species but happy to hunt and kill another, then eat them. I know that is different from...Read full review »

Thank you for making this. Hopefully the world will wake up and take action before it’s too late. Precious animals!

Great to see (or hear in this case) KP using his considerable platform for an obvious passion. A extremely worthwhile passion at that. Always liked KP and hope he never changes.

What a truly remarkable story. I had no idea that KP was dedicating his life to saving rhinos. Congratulations to the broadcast team, they have conveyed a hugely important topic in a really skilful manner.

Wow. Amazing journalism and production. I think they should put a link in the description thou for for where we can make donations to help support the rhinos.

Emotional investigation into every angle of this devastating topic, delivered in a touching gentle and human way by the -AMAZING- Sarah Brett. 👏 👏 Bravo BBC. More of this please.

This is an enticing series that highlights the serious challenges facing those combating the war against rhino poaching. I doubt there was ever any question of KP’s sincerity on promoting this to the wider world. This issue requires greater coverage on a global scale to raise public awareness....Read full review »

This is by far the best podcast I have listened to! As a South African, this is a subject very close to me heart It’s a must listen for everyone so that they can see how real and how dangerous the rhino poaching crisis is. And how the people fighting for the rhinos survival is impacted

Masterful storytelling about an issue that gets more and more complicated the further it moves along, but never getting lost in the weeds.

I have just finished listening to this amazing podcast. Insightful, educational, thought provoking and totally gripping. Sarah and the team bring the war against the rhino to your living room and it is a war we must all fight. Please listen.

Amazing is too small a word after listening to this. The work and the stress on life the rangers go through to save these magnificent creatures is above and beyond. Everyone with an ounce of compassion and civility should listen to this

Very informative and shocking. The subject matter is horrendous and as KP says the people who believe in this “medicine” are stupid, forget the cultural history. I was however very interested in the presentation as well. Sarah Brett makes a brilliant story teller and a great softener for KP. Very...Read full review »

If you care about Rhino’s listen to this podcast. The people on the front line keeping the Rhino’s safe are hero’s but they are losing the war due to misguided demand and greed.

I can’t say enough positive things about this podcast. It is genuine and highlights the realities and difficulties of trying to save one of so many (too many) endangered species. It is an emotional rollercoaster ... I have smiled and I have cried. Wonderful work by all involved. Thank you.

Thought provoking and heart wrenching, being a new father it moved me knowing that little babies, REGARDLESS, of being animals are watching their parents die. All for money, greed and pathetically some ridiculous idea of “medicine” More please 5live not just on this but on endangered animals

It is obvious that a lot of research was put into this series. I can sort of sympathise with the guys that are really poor and they make money by poaching rhinos so as to provide for their families but it doesn’t justify their actions in anyway. But the guy in episode 7 that pays and kills...Read full review »

The best podcast I’ve listened to! If there are awards for podcast journalism then ‘Beast of Man’ should be in line for the top gong! I’ve cried, laughed, raged and burned with compassion throughout each episode! 💕Sarah Brett has a unique and warm style. Give it a listen, you’ll not regret it!

What an insightful and thought provoking podcast. Great to see a celebrity use their profile to raise a cause so close to their heart. KP clearly spends a lot of his time on this. When you have money, it is often easier to give financially rather than ones time.
