Hope it gets better
Took them all of 11 minutes to say the stupidest thing you can say when talking about movies: “the book was better than the movie”. Pretty much foreshadows that they don’t understand the medium. And it wasn’t a one off, the entire first episode has him saying it. But even more disappointing was how many things they got wrong in describing a movie they just watched. But the absolute worst was when the one host said he was zoning out because he thought a section was too slow. What?!?! I guess he wanted more car crashes. I will try a couple of more episodes, but if it doesn’t get better quick I’ll just delete it.

Though the podcast focuses on cinematic depictions of war rather American participation in those wars (e.g., All Quiet on the Western front, Gallipoli, They shall not grow old..etc), strickly speaking - in a broader context - these all WERE key to American history as well.
