“I almost didn't even try this show because the opening intro voice thing was off-putting to me, but I'm really glad I gave it a shot. The host, Brad, is conversational without without adding much improv, his accent is a joy, and his speaking voice is very nice. He’s a lawyer and knowledgeable and the cases are very well-researched, and he has a kind of wry humor but he's not disrespectful to victims at all. I also like his takes and insight on cases whether they're well-known or unknown to me. I was surprised to find that I liked it for some reason but now I’m going through the entire back catalogue. Also, the “palate cleanser” end-of-episode uplifting moment is a corny joke picked by one of his kids and it’s just totally charming. Honestly, one of my favs.”Read full review »
