I Have A Lot Of Opinions
The Good: The friendship (wonderful platonic affection) and banter between the two main characters, some of the friendship/found family moments outside of this relationship, half the townsfolk being endearing, solid voice acting and production, some drama that kept me invested, some fun supernatural shenanigans. Problematic elements (mentioned below) improve over time. My favorite characters are Sammy, Lily, and Herschel. The Bad: The show ends on a huge cliffhanger after 100 episodes, with several unresolved plot threads. The show's adherence to its framing device ruins some of the tension. The other half of the townsfolk are annoying. Miscommunication(as well as bickering) runs rampant, and nowhere is this more apparent than in main character Ben, who is likeable 60% of the time and insufferable the rest. The show's problematic elements - an offensive portrayal of Native American culture (skinwalkers), Incredibly Super Hot Love Interest Emily being unable to exist without someone commenting on her physical appearance, a sexist character who isn't called out soon enough and other male entitlement, and a character who exists for racist Shock Value humor - cast a shadow over the show's good intentions.Read full review »

Love the show! Funny & witty but also creepy & paranormal enough to keep you on your toes. It’s what I thought/hoped Nightvale would be. Great character work & good actors. Keep it up!

It's an amazing podcast. The hosts grow on you like fungus and you end up smiling or cringing with delight. You root for these imaginary characters and nothing beats when things get serious. Give this podcast a try.Read full review »

While I will always have a place in my heart for Welcome to Night Vale (and I feel the comparisons are inevitable), and that place will always be barren and leak an obsidian fluid when I feel sad, King Falls AM hits some strings that Night Vale chooses to avoid. Fantastic show, confident hosts,...Read full review »
