I was initially enjoying the discussion and musical analysis of these great songs but when fully half of the discussion became about how "Young and Innocent Days" could have been improved I lost my patience and deleted the podcast. It cannot be improved. Your criticism is pointless.Read full review »

Finally a great podcast about the Kinks probably the most underrated band of all time. I love how passionate the podcaster is about them. Love the Beatles stuff too but it’s just really nice to see a good podcast about the Kinks.

This podcast is a must for Kinks (or Beatles - I prefer the Kinks episodes) fans. And it is certainly also interesting to others because of the music, lyrics and music history that is reviewed in each episode. Tony Frye delivers a great show and it's impressive all the energy he puts into it.Read full review »

When I saw Tony was covering Sweet Lady Genaveve on only the 2nd episode, I knew this was going to be a good podcast. This goes deeper than the typical Kinks abd Beatles podcasts that only cover the well trodden tunes. Well worth a listen! Tony, do more album-length reviews please!

If I rubbed a genie lamp and was granted a wish to have a podcast created just for me, it would be this one. I’ve always claimed I was more Kinks and Beatles than Who and Stones. More Kinks than anything really. The host ,Tony, will always surprise you with the songs he admires most, and the...Read full review »

A Kinks podcast has been long overdue. Thanks to Tony Frye for filling the void with this fun and educational 15 minutes a day. As a Kinks fan for 40+ years, spending time focused on one song every day has helped me re-appreciate each one anew. More than just a Kinks fan, Tony is a musician and a...Read full review »

and I genuinely love this podcast. It’s terrific to hear the songwriter’s/musician’s perspective on Kinks and Beatles songs that I love, and to be introduced to the occasional song I don’t know yet (mainly from among the post-Beatle solo releases). Tony is an excellent guide to the music and a...Read full review »

Life long Kinks fan, not so much a Beatles fan. This podcast is very informative, with deep dives into the back stories. The addition of Tony playing some of the chords is great, would like to heard you do a whole song!!! I’m learning something new every time I listen and have even grown an...Read full review »

While I enjoyed the song analysis, it’s almost impossible to comprehend what’s being explained if you don’t actually hear the song itself. The song being analyzed is never played! Even if you already know the song, it would be so much better to hear actual clips or examples of the techniques...Read full review »
