I’d love to like it and I listen fairly often (I’m starved for film talk, what can I say?), but it’s not very good at all. Some truly abysmal takes. Don’t listen to the episode on The Mule unless you have a baby’s brain.

I appreciate the interpretation of the film in the context of being liberal. Couldn’t stant the girl guest hysterically laughing throughout the show! She just took all the attention. Unfortunately.

The only person dumb enough to argue for defunding the fire department has opinions about Pete Davidson. Laura and Evan are cool, though. Stars for both of them.

I've been a listener since episode 1 and this is the best movie podcast out there, viewing movies as political documents and discussing them using great left analysis and hilarious riffing. The hosts are screamingly funny and the analysis and discussion is excellent. Hugely entertaining...Read full review »

A podcast that combines my love of going to see every movie that comes out and leftist politics. I have many fond memories over the last 6 months of leaving the theater and immediatebly throwing on the Kino Lefter episode for the movie I just saw because I need to know what they thought of what I...Read full review »

This podcast has got me to think about some of the movies and tv shows I watch in a different way. It’s really cool to hear different perspectives about the media I love in an entertaining way. Love how the hosts don’t take themselves too seriously but also have the ability to make compelling...Read full review »

I’m a Kino Lefter stan. This podcast is laugh out loud funny while also being very thought-provoking. It has prompted me to examine my politics and to be more critical of the media I consume. Additionally, I love it the surprise Jordan Peterson appearances.

Things you love to hear, things you love to see, things you need to know. Absolute essential lefty content, could use some more Epstein tbh.

Incredible show with warm and funny hosts who are clearly good friends, and who also are admirably politically active. These guys take the fact that films are political texts seriously, with both informative and hilarious results.

This podcast is my new favorite movie podcast. I don't say this lightly, because I have listened to a bunch of them. The problem that I usually have with movie podacsts is that the hosts talk about how they liked the plot, the performances and how they disliked a particular plot hole. I...Read full review »

IIt's an intriguing look at cinema through a leftist lens. Goes beyond simple reviews and into social issues like race, class, colonialism, the environment and more present in a specific popular film. This podcast can completely change or better inform your perspective of a film.Read full review »

The hosts of Kino Lefter don’t just look at contemporary cinema with a leftist lens so much as they stare, defiant and unblinking, at the crossroads between material relations and the movies. Of course, so many movies don’t deserve the amount of analysis that this show puts them through. But...Read full review »
