Must-listen for anyone interested in politics or history
I really cannot recommend this podcast enough. It's a fascinating and thoughtful look at conservative intellectual history and thought hosted by two people in Matt and Sam who are more than qualified to discuss these issues. It's something that everyone to the left/liberal side should listen to as a way of understanding what conservatives think and why but also how to potentially push back and what the left/liberal side can learn from the conservative movement in terms of strategy and approach. It's also fascinating just as a history lesson covering American politics, particularly in the last half of the 20th century up until the present. It's informative but also entertaining, like a class in the best American history or political science class you could ever take. It's become one of my favorite podcasts and I look forward to many more episodes in the future.Read full review »

Great topic to dabble in. “Can’t defeat your enemies unless you know them, stupid” is a mantra that has my wholesome support (because liberals are monumentally incompetent at it). Invite Frank Luntz and roast him please.

The hosts draw on conservative "intellectual" history and connect those movements to today's monstrous right-wing politics. They're super knowledgeable, super well-read, and, like, aren't afraid to talk about actual power and those who wield it.Read full review »

I feel we have an Enemy in the White House and I have been sorely tempted not to love my enemy....Read full review »
