“As a card carrying member of the right, I know I will disagree with much of what is said, however I was quite disappointed in your rejection of Peterson’s analysis of fairy tales and other mythology containing deeper truths. Writers such as Chesterton, Tolkien, Lewis, and Jung have all used this idea of “myth” to convey deeper truth and archetypes that can be transmitted through time. The conservative movement has taken much of this to heart, and sees valuable lessons in fiction, stories, and myth. Remember, Kirk wrote fictional horror stories that helped inspire Steven King. To reject it outright as nonsense seems silly to me, especially given the history and intellectual heft of those who have written about truths in mythology.”
