I didn’t know how important these universal lessons are to everyone. Strong messages without promoting religion or politics. Thanks for bringing this podcast to learn more about American culture. It’s great!

We love Auntie Oni’s incredible story telling! This series was a great introduction to Kwanzaa for my littler kids. Her stories made the principles approachable and digestible for their developing minds. We especially loved the story of Kai at the barber shop - how relatable it was about his...Read full review »

We did Kwanzaa as a family for the first time...went to a Caribbean store and bought our Kinora, candles, cup, and mat, then had the perfect daily family candle lighting and Kwanzaa stories with Aunti Oni just after dinner each day🙏🏾❣️ Our 6 year old twin boys loved the story of the boy going to...Read full review »

Didn’t the guy that made up Kwanzaa go to prison for violent sexual assault and torture? Quick google search... Ah yes. Not a great guy. Invented his own holiday because... Well gee I couldn’t tell you why. All the reasons I come up with are rather cynical.

We have been enjoying these podcasts for last few days, but — unpopular opinion here, most likely —the kids were kind of bummed that the focus of today’s principle was mask-wearing. It continues the narrative that they hear every day and/or everywhere we go (not that there’s anywhere to go)...Read full review »
