“Bless Kelli's heart. I've been here since the beginning and I want to like this- I really do- but I think it's time for me to walk away. It just isn't what I came here for- a trip down memory lane on a topic that so many of us hold so dear to our hearts. Rebranding to something that feels utterly unoriginal didn't make any sense to me then and it's only made more clear to me with each episode that it will only continue to go down hill. Content has become repetitive and mediorce and anything you can find on your own with a simple Google Search. Giving us Top 10s feels try-hard and redundant. Kelli paints a picture of having her finger on the pulse of what's hot in Hollywood, but cannot pronounce names and brands properly (not hating on her incredible sometimes-there accent- I am referring to blatant mispronounciations) and this discredits her completely. Giving unsolicited advice when she hasn't hit 30 and lacks some pivotal life experiences feels juvenile. Complaining about people being unsafe when she, herself, struggled to maintain stay at home orders and also travelled for the holidays (and is about to again) feels hypocritical. The entitlement she boasted with regards to the Laguna Biotch was pitiful. She's a fan. We all are. She's doing great work giving us a safe space to talk about a series that we loved. In no way is she responsible for any success or rejeuvenation of the cast members. In fact, the few cast member appearances on the show have been the highlight until now, but even then- the interviews are never hard-hitting. They're glossy. They're tame. We want the dirt. Stuff you uncover far beyond Google searches and LinkedIn profile creeps. When the people outside of the podcast make it the podcast's greatest quality-- something just isn't working.
