Now available in an English translation by Michael Lucey, Returning to Reims is a highly personal journey that traces the processes by which the author’s subjectivity is structured by growing up gay in a difficult provincial working-class environment, navigating and ascending the republican education system, and casts anew an eye on that itinerary.
