mature, balanced broadcasting
Some of the negative reviews above (and they're entitled to them) are reflections on the writers' political persuasions - but don't be fooled. Adams has plenty of lefties and righties posturing and arguing, and his intellectual depth and broad knowledge is impressive. He researches thoroughly before engaging with a new guest, recognises the bigger themes, and works through them thoroughly, rarely putting words into his guest's mouths, and always respectfully and patiently allowing them to get their message across in their own words. If you want a broad-ranging, intellectually stimulating hour or so, Adams is highly recommended. To the goose who criticised Philip's handling of a climate panel, grow up, mate. The man believes that the world's climate is changing and that there is a man-made contribution. The vast majority of science supports it - it is the majority view. The only sceptical view I've ever seen is posited by a populist, potty, unqualified, self-aggrandising member of the British aristocracy. No wonder it attracts oprobrium.Read full review »

Philip Adams will surely die. I would hope there will be an official day of national mourning. Who can possibly step into such a vacuum? Appreciate him and work towards a cure for such a debilitating condition as must be a culture without this wonderful individual.

Phillip reminds me of a late night Dj spinning love songs. Tapping into every historical and cultural events. I'm hooked.
