...and things that are interesting to writers.
As a long time fan of Scriptnotes, and an avid podcast listener, Launch delivered on all my expectations. Most of the podcasts I listen to are of the gab-fest style, so this was a nice change. It was awesome to hear John explore this style of podcast. I loved that we're following the journey in a stylized way without the podcast feeling disingenuous. It was also really refeshing to hear that the successful and accomplished John August suffers from the same insecurities and anxieties as the rest of us (ie. imposter syndrome),. I loved that John shares his personal thoughts and feelings, not just through his words but through the clips, music, and sound effects. There's also lots to learn in terms of craft and business! I can't wait for the rest of the episodes, and I'll be racing to order a copy of Arlo Finch once I submit this review. P.S. After the 6 episodes are done, please do another podcast in this style!Read full review »

Perfect for anyone interested in writing a novel, or if you're just someone who's interested in what that process looks like. A fascinating insider look.
