“I admire Lammy but find his slow way of speaking annoying. I’m in danger of falling asleep by the time he finishes a sentence. Allistair can fall into this mode too. Is this a mode that’s insisted on by the comms people? Yes, Rory has this tendency too. This probably sounds trivial but it’s important, I believe. If I’m reacting this way as a 73 year old, how do you imagine young people who are weaned on rapid bites are reacting. Guys, you need to not sound as if you’re about to fall asleep.”
