Katchatheevu - a tiny island - in the Palk strait between India and Sri Lanka is a trigger point and an emotive issue since it is no longer Indian and was ceded to Sri Lanka by the Indira Gandhi government back in 1974. 50 years later, the BJP has raked up the issue and have said the Congress, back in the day, had to business to cede the territory to Sri Lanka. The Congress has hit back accusing the BJP of double standards on India's territorial integrity.
