“I enjoy history, and I enjoy several other Wonderly podcasts (in spite of the endless commercials...which I can live with) I find them for the most part well written and factual. The ones on business, various scandals and the presidential elections i recommend without hesitation.
The use of a central narrator voicing other (sometimes historis) figures can be an effective tool, making the topic more vivid
But this guy is the WORST. The Pharma Bro episodes were bad, but the Scopes Trial was the last straw.
His "voice acting" is just horrific. It runs the gamut from Gone With The Wind to Shawshank Redemption with stops along the way at Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and To Kill a Mockingbird.
This guy needs to be fired...along with his producer.
