“This is the BEST history podcast I’ve listened to for many reasons.
#1. Chris Wimmer has a voice you can listen to for hours. That’s extremely important to me when I’m driving for hours and need something to listen to. I’ve listened to a few other history podcasts and I can’t stand the narrators. They say so, um, or like too much. They try to be over dramatic while telling the tale which comes across as annoying. I can’t listen to them for more than 5 min.
#2 Chris Wimmer is an exceptional narrator. His voice is powerful and captivating yet soothing to listen to. I have no problem listening to him narrate for hours on end.
#3 I LOVE how he tells the truth of each tale. He’ll mention information like; “there isn’t much proof to this theory, or there’s not much written or documented about their childhood, or some details are vague,” etc. He’ll always prep his listeners to know what is truth, hearsay, fabrications, wise tales, exaggerations or half truths.
This is so important to me to listen to a history podcast that’s doesn’t fabricate the truth to get more popular.
#4 There is humor in the story telling.
#5 The amount of research and work that goes into each episode is exceptional. The way Chris and his team navigate through each tale making facts, dates, and stories all align and flow exceptional well in an exciting way, make it so that there’s never a dull moment. You’re engaged from start to finish.”
