Episode 12: with Claudia Catlett in Arkansas, USA
Listen now
Description
On this week’s episode, our next guest is another friend/mentor that I met whilst on Koh Tao at Ban’s Diving Resort. She has become a role model for me and my friends, I nicknamed her “Mama Claud,” affectionately. Of course, our next guest is Miss Claudia Catlett from Arkansas, United States. Claudia was born in Mexico but was adopted during infancy by a Mexican mom and an American dad. She grew up to join the American Marines as the supply guy, she still gets great thanks every day for her service. Post-service, she attended college but at age 23 her path was changed when she was in a motorcycle accident. The accident severed her left arm and, tragically, it could not be reattached. Claudia shares the entire story with our listeners as well as her path to healing. She tells the story of how she and her boyfriend, Grant, met and how they ended up becoming scuba diving instructors together. For our listeners that know Claudia and Grant, this episode is a treat. For listeners that don’t, this woman has been through everything you could imagine and has persevered through it all. Her story is a beautiful one.
