“I just listened to the episode Ditching the Scale and it opened my eyes to part of my get fit journey I’ve been turning a cold shoulder to! I am totally the type of person that weighs myself nearly every day. When I get into the gym at work, right before I exercise I step on the scale and it never makes me happy. It actually has a negative impact on my motivation to get into my exercises for the day. At the end of the episode when you were talking about thinking back to when you were at your skinniest and whether or not you were happy, I thought back to two times in my life. Once, right after coming back from studying abroad in Taiwan, and the other in my late 20s when I dedicated myself to getting healthy after having kids and did a lot of research into the types of exercises I needed to do and the types of food I need to be eating. In that time I didn’t weigh myself at all. When I was in Taiwan I exercised nearly every day, I ate whatever food I felt like eating. I was so busy having fun and going on adventures that I didn’t even think to weigh myself. In a three month time I lost nearly 50 pounds! I was happy, I was fit, and I didn’t care about how much I weighed at all! That is my new fit goal! Thank you!”
