It’s not about the food
I’m in total agreement with the theme of this podcast. The idea that having some kind of “ideal” body will bring about happiness is pretty ridiculous. I can tell you from having been at a very thin weight I didn’t magically find all those things I thought I would. However, there’s something to be said about feeling healthy and not so weighted down. My knees certainly felt better at a lower weight and I had more energy. I have committed to changing habits and building health step by step (which she talks about) Why I have this podcast at 4 stars instead of 5. The podcasts in which she’s talking directly to the audience are fantastic. They have a lot of great advice about mental health issues surrounding weight, mental health, and dieting. The interviews I’ve listened to start off good and for several of them (I haven’t listened to them all).. Stephani and the person she’s interviewing drift off and make you feel like you’re listening in on their conversation. I’ve listened to numerous podcasts with interviews and it always feels like they’re being interviewed FOR the audience. But I don’t always feel like that with these interviews. I think guiding the questions more and trying to stay on task would make it more helpful.

I discovered this podcast when searching weight loss. I’ve gotten so much meaningful information. I have started looking at motherhood, life, marriage, editing in a different mindset.

I have a hard time believing that since she says doctors are wrong is recommending diets. Also, in both episodes I listened to I heard a reference to the bible. No thanks, I’ll take my doctors science minded, thanks.

I’ve been on my own journey of intuitive eating, so anything that has to do with body positivity and intuitive eating I dive head first...Read full review »
