Breath is life.  COVID-19 attacked the lungs and, in a domino effect, impacted other essential organs.  Strengthening lung function is central to overall health and vitality as well as mitigating the future possibility of being affected by respiratory ailments.  That's why it's important to learn how breathwork and its role in healing the entire body.  This timely and informative podcast will discuss the concepts of the respiratory system and the mechanics of breathing. Tune in to hear guest co-host, Saidia Murphy, known better as Saidia “Therapylady.”  Saidia is based in Chicago and is the owner and founder of Wholesome Touch.  She has been an occupational therapist for 19 years working with clients in nursing homers, outpatient clinics, sub-acute and post-acute hospital settings, ICUs, school systems and in-home services.  In addition to OT, Saidia is a certified Kemetic Yogi, Level 1 SomaVeda Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner, Level 1 Yoga Trapeze instructor.  Significantly, she is a breathwork specialist in the ANCAR2000 breathing methodology and apprentice under Master Naturopath, Yogi and Chiroprator, Dr. Asar Hapi.   Saidia’s passion is helping others achieve better breathing through better breathing mechanics.
