“OG listener! After listening to the recent episode on TGA advertising requirement changes in the cosmetic industry, just want to say that you can be a registered nurse and still be a patient advocate and a very qualified and safe cosmetic practitioner, being a registered nurse does not make you ‘less qualified’.
As a cosmetic nurse that has completed years of clinical training prior, a member of the Cosmetic Nurse Association and continues to regularly invest in self education and trainings to ensure best practice and patient safety, I can confidently say that there are practitioners who do they best to uphold the highest standards of the cosmetic industry that are plastic surgeons, doctors, nurses, and of course vice versa. Unfortunately those who chooses profit over their patient’s best interests, nurse or doctor, has given our industry a bad reputation.
When you choose a cosmetic practitioner, you’re not just paying for their degree and products, you’re paying for their ethics, values, experience, holistic care and their aesthetic eye.
Just want to put this out there :) Still a fav podcast of mine, keep up the good work girls!”
