Great start but I want longer episodes

Stopped renewing my qcode paid subscription after realizing they almost never finish their best stories. Why does QCode keep starting new audio dramas never to finish the story? I’d happily pay for an ad free version again if they actually finish what they start.

I think Listening In is like The Sopranos because both of their finales have abrupt endings; and I believe that Julia gets killed by that old lady in the final scene just like Tony Soprano is rumored to be.

More ads than content and an unsatisfactory end.
Heidi Black via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/04/23
This podcast was great episode 1-7. Then episode 8 starts out good, then ends without answering a lot of questions. Talk about disappointing.
Sshrader132 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/06/23
Not impressed with the carrot dangling at the end, called a finale. Hopefully, we get a season 2. The main character seemed to be very clueless with her interpersonal relationships, and while that may be a plot point - it’s disarming to think that’s the second basis for this story that...Read full review »

There is no legitimate ending. It’s like they got bored and just gave up on the final episode or something.
Gilbercrat via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/20/23
I liked this unique, if confusing, series. However, the ending was a bit disappointing—-and can only be remedied with a new season. Bring it back, QCODE!

Good pacing and a likeable central character. Bit surprised by the sudden ending, I wonderd what I was supposed to take from it, or if ther is going to be a season 2. I enjoyed it though, and listened to all episodes in about 3 days

Enjoyed the series, but the ending is puzzling with lots of unanswered questions- not much of an ending.

This is the first time that I’ve listened to a QCODE podcast and been disappointed. There is an inconceivable level of disrespect that Julia accepts from her husband for no reason. Imagine losing a child and then listening to your husband play house with another woman and her daughter….WHAT??? ...Read full review »
Well, This is Unfortunate via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/22/23
By the fourth episode I was just waiting for it to end. Not even bothered that it ended like it did. If it were a tv show, it would be great to turn on to help me fall asleep.
Ynottt via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/21/23
The writer lost interest or drew a blank for the ending. The listener left with no point of question for us to ponder because there are to many loose ends to support discussion. If the writer states the fizzled ending was intentional, I’d state that there are better ways to explain what...Read full review »

Meh
The protagonist is spineless and dumb. The “mystery “ is not very exciting. If the finale was meant to get one to listen to the next season, it failed. Boring and not worth the time.
amfrere2020 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/30/23
The main character kind of just fumbles her way through the show, seemingly always completely clueless of her circumstance and surroundings. The production is fine but the fact that the main character is a bumbling moron who rarely displays any emotion aside from confusion leaves alot to be...Read full review »

This is a very well done show. I love the mystery unfolding and hope we get to hear more. Season One ends in the middle of the story. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed a trend with big stars doing these dramatic podcasts. They do a great first season and then drop it - never to return. Other than...Read full review »

Terribly written. Forced acting. Not at all compelling.

I have really enjoyed this well written thriller and am disappointed that it has ended on a cliffhanger. Please hurry with Season Two because I need to know what happens to Julia and Noah. Great performances and great story.

Very well told. Story progression was great as well.

Enjoyable, except there’s no resolution to the story. Episode 8 just leaves you hanging. 🤷‍♀️
Sky Goddess 66 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 12/28/22
What happened at the end? Is this the end?? It says it’s the finale but it’s ending is bland. Leaving you with a huge question.

I’m brand new to the show. I’m liking it so far but there is so much mouth breathing, kissing and eating noises I don’t know if I will be able to finish. I can’t stand hearing any of that. Why do we need to hear it in surround sound? I will try and finish then update my rating as needed.

This podcast was so easy to guess what happens next. You have to put up with main character being clueless, then finally figuring out what is happening wayyyyy after you could already guess. Poorly written, and seems like it was written by a man because the female lead you can tell they want her...Read full review »

I don’t get the final episode at all. I feel like I missed something. I don’t know what happened. Love the audio/voices , acting/ sound effects , music as well as the beginning and middle of story
dreamweaver-71 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/09/22
Plot takes too long and by the time it gets minimally interesting, it’s over. I stuck around with hope because I’m a big supporter of Rachel B, but I won’t be coming back for season 2 if they continue it.
vyky4 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/09/22
I liked this podcast but the time spent on ads before and during was annoying. The three minutes worth of reading the credits at the end of every episode was also something I’d never heard in a podcast before and hope I never hear again. Also the ending sucked.
linzjanae via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/08/22
The concept was intriguing and hooked me in, but then it just became a pretty predictable series of events with bad dialogue. In the end they are clearly setting up events for a second season, but the interesting element to this story was already exposed. Without wondering “what’s going on with...Read full review »

I liked the storyline. The idea of listening to conversations without risk of being discovered is very tempting so I think the concept of the story was good. The acting and sound effects were also good. I didn’t give it five stars because as I understood it, it showed there are nine episodes...Read full review »

Atrocious ending

This show is super boring for QCODE. I quit after 6 episodes because the plot just wasn't going anywhere. Whoever wrote this needs to learn how to spice things up because this is just flat. Also, half of each episode was intro, ads, and credits. Was it really worth the time and budget?Read full review »

Interesting story, episodes go by fast. Good production. Fairly standard mystery. Downside is a significant amount of time is spent on commercials, credits etc.

I really liked it, and wish that the episodes were a little longer. Interested to see what happens next.

The only character with dimension was the old lady next door. The main character talked too much and the story was extremely predictable. I was very hard to imagine the events unfolding around you. Hopefully, next season will be better.

Very good and gripping , but when is the next episode? I downloaded the 7 day free trial in hope of the next one, but nothing 😩 please let me know how to carry on The story
BaxterMiss via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/01/22
There’s no enough resolution. The plot is intriguing & the sounds/voices are really strong. The episodes need to be longer & there needs to be more explaining done. I’m imagining there is a second season planned so I still am holding out hope. But if you like a beginning, middle &...Read full review »

Was so intrigued but the ending has no resolution and left me feeling like I’d wasted my time. Is a second season coming?
Annabellllllla via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/29/22
As someone who listens to a lot of audio dramas, including several QCODE shows, this one just failed to grab my attention. I gave up during episode two. Maybe this one was simply not to my taste, but I think it was probably just boring.
Miz Luv via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/28/22
Don’t waste your time. We learn nothing interesting about these characters and the story isn’t compelling in the slightest.

boring and unoriginal. if you want and interesting podcast with good delivery i recommend limetown, the silt verses, the magnus archives, and the penumbra podcast. this isn’t worth your time AT ALL.
